Anti-trust regulation

Anti-trust regulations sought to end the possibility of a few individuals obtaining too much power and money. In other words, these regulations prevented monopolies from forming. The anti-trust regulations were made in order to eliminate competition between companies. These regulations are exemplified in many situations. Many railroads lines were competing to gain profit, but based on the anti-trust regulations they were forced into one railroad line to eliminate the competition. The nation is based on capitalism, and many critisized that these regulations forbid national basis.
